Syfilco Ltd. was originally started in 1979 by our founding father, Sybren deBoer. The vacant MacNaughton grass seed mill in Exeter was purchased and then converted into a knitting mill. Initial products were the filter sleeves used on plastic subsurface drainage tubing. This product allowed farmers with light loam soils to protect against sediment infiltration, when draining their fields for more efficient crop production.
Syfilco started as a family business, and in 1996 officially became a second generation company. We have prided ourselves in producing quality products and in 1995 developed a mission statement as part of our Quality Assurance program.

Two main product groups have emerged, Fabrics and Netting. All circular knitting, products were originally produced on small diameter knitting machines and our Fabrics Division has since expanded in both machine capacity and product sizes. All Netting Division products are made from slit tapes and produced on flatbed and circular machines.
